Hi all, Hope you had a good week! Not a great deal to report from me which makes a nice change! It's THEME week over at the Global Design Project These days it takes me a bit of time to create a 3D project and as you know I don't have great deal of time at the moment so I resorted to my old friend Pinterest for some much needed inspiration! As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I have met many new friends, all of which inspire me in different ways but one of my favourites for creating gorgeous boxes is Heidi from Flutter By Heidi. I wasn't very surprised when it was one of Heidi's creations that jumped out from Pinterest that made me think "Oh that's nice!" Maybe it was because my favourite Ferrero Richer chocolates were in the picture too ha! So this is my take on Heidi's lovely Elegant Envelope Punch Board Top Opening Box! The box is ultimately made up from a sheet of A4 cardstock, and some DSP plus some ribbon!
I sat and made this box at my weekly craft group on Tuesday and it really was straight forward, fun and quite quick to make. These are the products that I used to make my box: I used Night of Navy cardstock for the box. The DSP comes from the set called Affectionately Yours "Sending Love" comes from the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I have stamped some flowers & leaves around the sentiment whch come from the stamp set called "Love & Affection". The trim I have used is Ruched Ribbon in Flirty Flamingo. Thanks for the inspiration Heidi! Click here to visit Flutter by Heidi and see how the box is made. Hi all, A new week which means a new Global Design Project challenge! Believe it or not I actually managed to complete this on Tuesday but after a busy week I am only just getting around to posting my entry! This week was focussed on a sketch. I've done a few of these in the past and I always find sketches really useful if you're stuck for a design starting point. They're great for any occasion and it doesn't matter what produts you're using and everyone interprets them differently! And here is what I came up with... I have used a selection of different products for this card and the colour theme I have used is Copper, Pear Pizazz and Very Vanilla. These are the details... Very Vanilla cardstock for the card base (11, 1/2" x 4", folded in half). Pear Pizazz cardstock for the embossed layer. The emobossing folder I used is called Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This layer measures 2,3/4" x 3, 3/4". Very Vanilla cardstock stamped with the leaf stamp from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Pear Pizazz at random. This strip measures 1,1/4" x 4". I have used a strip of the copper dot washi tape from the Affectionately Yours washi tape bundle along the edge of the embossed layer. "Thinking of You" comes from the Crazy About You stamp set. I have stamped the sentiment once and cut them out individually. They are attached using Dimensionals foam pads. "You" has been die cut using Copper Foil and the Hello You thinlits. The Butterfly has been die cut using Very Vanilla cardstock and the detailled butterfly from "Bold Butterfly Framelits. Check back next week when the challenge will be around a "theme"! Have a great weekend Stacey xxx Hi all, I hope you all enjoyed the rest of your week and weekend! We had a very excited little girl here when she saw the snow for the first time. I have never really been all that keen on snow but it wad magical seeing Florence as excited as she was when it finally landed and she could get outside! A fairly quiet week on the crafting front for me this week. It was lovely to get together with friends at the return of my weekly craft group. Lots of crafting, from card making to quilting, scrapbooking and laughter! Anyway...onto a cute little note card that I did get around to making! I often forget to use Black & White as a background and usually go for a coordinating colour but I always like how simple and striking the monotone effect makes colours 'pop'!
The products I used were- Birthday Blooms stamp set Aqua Painter Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green ink to colour the flower Basic Black ink Crumb Cake ink to edge the layers of Whisper White Hi all, Something new for me to get involved in this year is the Global Design Project. After having some time to settle in with baby and get Christmas out of the way, I need something to get me back into the crafting habit. A few of my demonstrator friends are involved with this blog and I've followed it for a little while now. The challenge is simple...once a week a new challenge is posted and the challenges are based on colour, theme, shetches and designers so never a dull moment and so much inspiration! This weeks challenge is colour based... For my first challenge I must admit I was a bit unsure about the colours chosen. Delightful Dijon is not my go to colour but actually I've quite enjoyed using a colour that I rarely use in my crafting. The card is made using the following products...
Overall I'm quite pleased with my first attempt at this challenge...must get better at taking photo's tho! I would love for you to get involved in this challenge as well. Please click the Global Design Project logo below to visit the website. See you same time next week!
